Rules

Outnite is an event board for each city and date, ranked by paid promotion. Here’s what’s welcome and what can get a listing removed. These rules go alongside our Terms of Service.

What you can list

Only real events in the selected city on the selected date. Use the actual event name, venue, and start time so people know where they’re going.
Your own event or one you want to share. You don’t have to be the organizer, but don’t pretend to speak for them.
Event descriptions and artwork you have the right to share. Link to a page where people can find accurate event details or buy tickets for that event.

What isn’t allowed

General ads for products, businesses, profiles, or group chats. A listing must be for a specific event people can attend.
Sexual content, pornography, or links to adult content, including in event descriptions and artwork.
Fake events or misleading details. Don’t invent a lineup, claim a venue or artist is involved when they aren’t, or advertise an event you know has been cancelled.
Impersonation. Don’t use someone else’s name, branding, or artwork to make your listing look official when it isn’t.
Content you don’t have permission to use, such as a flyer copied without the rights needed to share it.
Unlawful events or content, threats, harassment, or other abusive material.
Fraud, scams, fake ticket pages, phishing, or links that distribute malware. The destination must match what your listing promises.
Interfering with the board or checkout, exploiting bugs to change rankings, or using payment details you aren’t authorized to use.

How ranking works

The homepage ranks today's events across cities using each city's local date. The same confirmed payment total determines both city and global positions. Future listings become eligible when their board date becomes today in their city. The homepage displays the top 25 events; city boards keep their full listings.

Confirmed submission payments and boosts add to a listing’s total. Higher totals rank first; ties go to the listing created first. Listings with no confirmed payments have a total of zero.
Anyone can boost an event. A payment does not establish ownership or affiliation with its organizer.
Others can overtake you. Position previews are estimates, and no position, exposure, clicks, attendance, or ticket sales are guaranteed.

Before heading out or buying tickets, check the details with the organizer. A high rank reflects money spent on promotion, not our endorsement of the event.

What you pay for

Each payment is a one-time charge for a listing or boost, not an admission ticket. Stripe processes the amount and currency shown at checkout. Publication and ranking updates wait for payment confirmation; pending payments do not count.

Payments apply only to the selected city and date, with no carryover. The board’s closing time is shown in the city’s local time. Past listings may remain visible after closing.

Corrections and removal

If a date, venue, or other detail is wrong, or an event is cancelled, email [email protected] with the listing link and what needs changing. You can also report a listing that breaks these rules to this address.

Listings that break these rules will be removed. We may also correct listings or restrict access to address violations, legal requests, or security issues. Paying for a listing or boost doesn’t exempt it from these rules.

Refunds

We refund duplicate charges and payments for listings or boosts we fail to deliver. If we remove a compliant listing for our own operational reasons, we refund the undelivered portion of affected payments.

Payments are otherwise non-refundable, including if you are overtaken, change your mind, remove your listing, the event is cancelled, or we remove a listing for a terms violation. Refund rights required by law still apply. For help, email [email protected] with the listing and payment reference. Don’t send full card details.
